The New Orleans Pelicans showed off their depth in a come-from-behind victory against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday.

The Pelicans entered the fourth quarter of their second preseason game down 21 points.

The defense allowed 81 combined points in the second and third quarters but it all turned around as they only allowed 18 points in the final 12 minutes.

Zion Williamson was efficient with 29 points on 12-of-13 from the field in only 27 minutes. All of his points came before the fourth quarter, scoring 16 in the first half and 13 in the third.

It was the likes of Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Frank Jackson, Josh Hart and Jahlil Okafor that completed the comeback win.

Those four players combined for 49 points off the bench. Alexander-Walker showed his playmaking ability with his seven assists. Hart proved he can bring perimeter shooting to the team by making three of his five 3-point attempts.

It’s safe to say the Pelicans second unit stole the show on Wednesday.

The Pelicans are now 2-0 in the preseason. New Orleans won their preseason opener against the Atlanta Hawks 133-109.

Through the first two preseason games, Williamson is averaging 22.5 points per game.

New Orleans will play the Utah Jazz on Friday in their first home preseason game.
