Welcome everyone to another edition of #3OT!
1st OT: Cold Shooting Cajuns
For the first time in a while, the Cajuns shooting wound up costing them a win. In the first half alone, the team shot a deplorable 20 percent from the field. The Cajuns could not get anything going on Saturday, especially with Shawn Long underperforming, scoring seven points and getting nine boards. If the Cajuns can’t get their alpha male scoring more than that, this team could be having a downward spiral and that isn’t a good look at all.
2nd OT: Road Woes Returning
Apparently the early season road woes are returning at the worst possible time. The Ragin Cajuns have only won three games on the road in the 2015-16 season and the only road wins were during that nine-game win streak. But losing the way they did against a sub-.500 team like the Bobcats is just upsetting to see. But then again, the Sun Belt needs to not schedule like they do where teams have five game homestand then go on the road for four games. It’s a little lopsided and some of these coaches in the conference dislike this setup.
3rd OT: Cajuns Need To Right the Ship Quickly
In a matter of one week, the Ragin Cajuns have gone from being in second place in the conference to fourth place. If the Cajuns want to take the best possible road to the NCAA Tournament, this is not the way to go. They are one and a half games out of second place. Again, the next two games are against some of the bottom dwellers of the conference, but this team needs to avoid another trap game like Texas State was.
