#3OT: LSU vs Arkansas

Posted by clintdomingue on February 23, 2016 in Featured

3OT

Welcome everyone to another edition of #3OT!

1st OT: The Simmons & Blakeney Show

Tuesday night was a night where Ben Simmons and Antonio Blakeney played Arkansas. Yes there were three other players on the court, but both Simmons and Blakeney accounted for 45 of the team’s 65 points. Four Tigers didn’t make a bucket. It seemed like everyone else on the team does not want to play at all. Simmons and Blakeney were the only reason why they were only down by two. Just pitiful to see the team be like this.

2nd OT: Poor Excuse for Defense

The LSU defense tonight was so bad that I almost thought I was listening to a Saints game. Just let players get wide open layups. I think I could’ve put 20 points on LSU with how poor this defense played. This goes back to how this team outside of the super freshmen looked like they did not want to be out there.

3rd OT: Packing It In

I hate to harp on LSU pretty much not showing up on Tuesday night. But that to me is the biggest story coming out this game. It seemed like this team knows it’s headed to the NIT and they don’t care how they do. These teams, especially players like Quarterman, are acting like big babies. This team has some of the better talent, and the NIT is where you’re going? The players that didn’t show up on Tuesday have this mentality of “If I’m not the forefront of this team, I’m not going to play.” You still had an ever so slight chance heading into this game of getting to the big dance. Losing a game like they did tonight is unacceptable.
