Welcome everyone to another edition of #3OT!
1st OT: Improvement from the Charity Stripe
The Tigers haven’t always been the best from the free throw line, but they got the job done on Friday afternoon, shooting 71.9 percent from the stripe. Not as good as the Vols, who shot 76.9 percent, but it was a hell of a lot better than they did last season against the Auburn Tigers this time last year.
2nd OT: Team Effort
The Tigers starting five looked like a team for a change, at least as far as the stat sheet looked. Every one of the starting lineup looked very strong, getting in double figures on the afternoon. But the most telling stat was that this team got a lot of turnovers from the Vols. This helped out a lot down the line.
3rd OT: Big Challenge On Saturday
The Tigers have a huge challenge in knocking off top seed Texas A&M. They split the regular season series, with the last matchup being decided by five points. To me, if the Tigers can get that win over the Aggies on Saturday afternoon, then the Tigers will be headed to the Big Dance. But they’ll need the same kind of fire as the Tigers displayed on Friday afternoon.
