Welcome everyone to another edition of #3OT!
1st OT: Shawn Long En Fuego
If you’ve ever played NBA Jam on the SNES back in the day, you know when you make three straight shots, you would be “on fire”. Shawn Long was like a character in NBA Jam: making damn near every shot and doing it with ease. The senior was even making threes, which almost never happens. During the regular season he was 23 percent shooting, while in the afternoon matchup against the Jags, he went 5-of-6 from behind the arc.
2nd OT: Turnover Game Deciding Factor
The South Alabama Jaguars completely played themselves out of the tournament with 19 turnovers, 13 of which were in the second half. And the Cajuns capitalized with 27 points off of turnovers. Just shows how much the mistakes the Jags made cost them as they were back and forth against the Cajuns in the opening minutes of the game.
3rd OT: Big Challenge on Saturday
There’s no time for celebrating for the Cajuns as they have a lofty task on Saturday afternoon to take down the Arkansas-Little Rock, a team that has beaten them twice already this season. I give the Cajuns a slight chance, but if they can play like they did today, it is a definite possibility they can come away with a win over the Trojans.
