Jive Talkin’

Posted by alanmichael on April 27, 2016 in Featured

The UFC 200 media tour has begun and the fighters are now making the rounds trying to do what Conor McGregor already did with one tweet: promote and sell the biggest event in UFC history. Since none of the fighters on the card have the charisma or the magnetism of UFC’s top draw, they are putting boots to the ground by doing press conference, radio interviews, and even driving up to Connecticut to go on the “Tim and Suzie Nobody Gives a F@$! Show” as McGregor so eloquently put it.

Fighters like Daniel Cormier, Jon Jones, Frankie Edgar, and Miesha Tate all know that these promotional duties are necessary because they know they do not possess a thimbles worth of the salesmanship McGregor has. Nobody has complained about it and nobody has been overly critical of McGregor for believing (knowing) he is above all that noise. This are self aware fighters. Jose Aldo, the former Featherweight Champion of the World, is not one of these fighters.

During an interview, Jose Aldo ran his mouth about Conor McGregor not appearing to promote the UFC 200 card and thus being taken off of the card by Dana White and the UFC game-makers. Aldo, who faces Frankie Edgar in a featherweight bout at UFC 200, said about McGregor refusing to traditionally promote UFC 200, “that proves how weak he is.” So weak in fact, it took a whole 13 seconds for McGregor to knockout Aldo in Aldo’s last fight. Jose Aldo continued to run his mouth about a guy he lost to in less time than it takes you to tie your shoes when he said, “I don’t see him as an athlete, I don’t respect him; in my opinion, he’s weaker than everything he always said.” This is some of the jivest jive talk you’re ever going to hear. What a SIMP!

If I am Frankie Edgar I am confident as hell because obviously Aldo is still hung up and butt-hurt that he was embarrassed on worldwide pay per view by McGregor. Did I mention that Aldo lost to “weak” Conor McGregor in 13 seconds? I actually missed the fight when it was live because I sneezed when the bell rang. Damn allergies. But thank god for Youtube! In case you blinked and missed it too, check out the FULL FIGHT below and relive when the “weak” Conor McGregor knocked out “Jive Talkin'” Jose Aldo in 13 seconds!
