Bartolo Colon Is My Spirit Animal

Posted by clintdomingue on May 9, 2016 in Featured

This weekend was one for the ages in sports: we had a great Kentucky Derby, a tremendous LSU-Arkansas series highlighted by a possum running out on the field, and a knockout for the ages by Canelo Alvarez to Amir Khan. But the biggest moment of the weekend for me was Bartolo Colon hitting his first home run.

Yes, THAT Bartolo Colon.

The New York Mets pitcher is one of my favorites if only because of his comedic follies, but seeing a 42-year old, out of shape man blast one into the stands is nothing short of spectactular. And one genius Twitter user made it even better (if that’s even possible).

I made it even better, you guys. pic.twitter.com/XKdfnMOdGH

This season will probably be the last for Colon, but what a great moment to have on your way out.
