I just wanted to clear up some confusion pertaining to LSU Baseball’s Super Regional opponents, the Coastal Carolina CHANTICLEERS. Throughout the day, the team at 103.7 The Game, including myself, the callers, and even the hard working sales staff were all arguing about what exactly a Chanticleer is. I admittedly thought they were the “Chandeliers” for most of the day until that was finally cleared up.

Here is Merriam-Webster’s definition of “Chanticleer”:

So the Rally Possum is now getting into a fight with a cocky rooster with big teeth and not a lighting fixture from which a valiant hero swings to rescue a damsel in distress. Now you know Tiger fans! And knowing is half the battle! The other half is feeding roosters to your possums in preparation for Saturday’s Super Regional Game 1.
