After weeks of waiting for an update on the Tigue, there has been a press release.
The Ragin Cajuns Athletic Foundation sent a newsletter out on Friday stating that renovation and expansion are underway. The statement also discussed the budget, stating that the initial budget was around $10 million dollars, but after some input from various people, the budget increased to $16 million dollars.
The RCAF then explored what they could do to get the funds without potentially delaying the project. A decision was made to move forward with the construction and secure funding to help cover the cost.
The RCAF will continue to meet with potential donors to get the remaining funding needed to be able to complete this.
