Monday was a big day for awards around college baseball. There were four players named to the All-SEC teams, headlined by Greg Deichmann and Alex Lange.

Deichmann is currently hitting .320, second in the SEC with 17 home runs and fourth in slugging percentage at .617. The junior out of Metarie also has 63 RBIs, which is good enough for third in the league.

Lange’s junior season has been up and down, but his stats are far from it. The junior leads the SEC in strikeouts with 111 and a 2.79 ERA in a little more than 90 innings of work.

Kramer Robertson was the lone selection for the Second Team All-SEC. Michael Papierski and Josh Smith were named to the All-Defensive Team.

In what could be a good sign for the Tigers in 2018, pitcher Eric Walker, third baseman Josh Smith, and Zach Watson were named to the freshman All-SEC squad in 2017.
