Two weeks ago, I looked at the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns schedule and ranked it from most difficult to easiest. With a few more weeks to go until college football is back in our lives, why not look into which game for this team will be considered a “trap game”.
Considering how many games on the schedule for the Cajuns aren’t necessarily guarantees in 2017, you have to think Texas State is their true trap game. Outside of UL Monroe and Southeastern, the Bobcats are a team that could cause this team to slip up at around the halfway mark of the season.
The Bobcats performance since their arrival in the Sun Belt Conference has been less than ideal and it seems like the Bobcats are still looking for something to shake things up for an athletic program that has underperformed as a whole. There’s only one way to really do that and it’s by starting over is if the results for the 2017 season are similar to last year.
Another big point is that this is a national TV matchup and if the Bobcats want to impress some recruits that are on the fence and win over some fans in San Marcos, a win against a program like the Cajuns would be huge for their brand. If the Cajuns lose this game then they could fall well below their preseason goals because of what’s in those other 11 games.
