After a big win on Monday night, the LSU Tigers (3-1) were brought back down to the earth with a crushing 92-53 victory over 13th ranked Notre Dame (5-0).

The night for LSU started out less than ideal with Brandon Sampson leaving the fame with Brandon Sampson going down with an ankle injury within the opening moments of the ballgame. The Fighting Irish took advantage of LSU being without a star player, getting out to a 10-6 lead before the first media timeout.

Notre Dame’s lead continued to grow in the first half, getting out to a 40-24 at the break. LSU fought back to start the second half with some solid shooting for the first time all game, but the Notre Dame offensive attack proved to be too much and ended up pulling away at the midway mark of the second half.

LSU will wrap up the Maui Invitational on Wednesday, taking on Marquette (2-2) with tipoff set for 6 pm.
