Posted by clintdomingue on May 13, 2018 in Blogs, Latest News

How It Happened

Alabama struck first with an RBI double in the top of the second from John Trousdale to take the early 1-0 lead. However, Austin Bain issued a rebuttal to start the bottom frame with a leadoff home run out to left field.

Beau Jordan got the Tigers out in front with an RBI single out to center field in the bottom of the third. Daniel Cabrera busted things wide open in the bottom of the fifth with a two-run bomb to left field to make it a 4-1 lead.

However, Keith Holcombe responded for the Crimson Tide in the sixth with a solo shot out towards left center to make it 4-2. However, the Tigers slammed the door shut with a three-run inning capped off by a two-run double to right field by Cabrera.

Nick Bush improved to 1-1 on the season allowing two runs off of five hits, walked one, and struck out two in six innings of work
