The free agency period hasn’t officially begun but the New Orleans Saints are already making moves, moving on from Mark Ingram in the process.
As first reported by Adam Schefter, the Saints are signing former Minnesota Vikings running back Latavius Murray to a four-year $14.4 million contract. The former rushed for 578 yards and six touchdowns last season, averaging 4.1 yards per carry.
With the move, it seems like the Saints offense will be utilizing Alvin Kamara as the feature back for the foreseeable future. The new league year will begin on Wednesday at 3 pm, meaning that free agency signings will become official at that point.
