With a little less than 24 hours before the Tigers start their run in the SEC Tournament, the Will Wade saga continues on with statements from him and the university.
The head basketball coach for LSU released a statement on Thursday saying that he wants to be back on the sidelines.
“With the benefit of a week to consider the circumstances, I believe University officials should allow me to resume my duties.” Wade wrote in the statement that came out Thursday morning. This comes after LSU senior athletic director Robert Munson said that the door is still open for him to talk about the reports that came out alleging that he was caught on wiretap discussing compensation for a recruit believed to be Javonte Smart.
LSU’s general counsel Tom Skinner then released a statement later in the day, stating that he will remain suspended until he talks to the university administration about this.
