10th Annual Student Arts Expo At The ACA

Posted by on April 15, 2019 in Featured

The Acadiana Center for the Arts is having One of it’s biggest ArtWalk celebrations with the 10th Annual Student Arts Expo!

It will be this Saturday, April 13th, from 12-8pm at the ACA on Vermilion St. in downtown Lafayette.

What makes this art walk event so special?

It features a parade, performances at three stages, and exhibits throughout downtown. You can buy a beautiful piece of student artwork at the various booths, or even create your own art to take home!

I love events like this. Art is a great learning tool, as well as a great way for kids (and adults) to express themselves. The Student Arts Expo designed to increase public knowledge and appreciation of the arts by and for the youth of the community, yet, what it accomplishes is so much more. It rewards and showcases those who put their heart and soul into something they love. Students that very well may be the future Van Goghs of later generations, have a platform to create and showcase their art right here, accessible in their hometown.

So, go out and support this great event, you might even find a piece of art that inspires you to create something of your own too!
