It looks like the longtime head coach of the New Orleans Saints will stick around for at least five more years.
As first reported by Jay Glazer of FOX, the Saints and Sean Payton have agreed to a five-year extension on Sunday. The new deal kicks in after the season, putting him under contract with the Saints for the next six years through the 2024 season.
Payton, 55, is in his 13th season with the Saints and holds a 193-119 record. During his tenure, the Saints have won five NFC South Championships, a Super Bowl, and an 8-6 record in the postseason.
This story will be updated as we get more about the contract details.
