Thumbs Up! Drew Brees Set to Start Sunday vs Cardinals

Posted by clintdomingue on October 26, 2019 in Blogs, Latest News

Just five weeks after suffering a torn ligament in his thumb, Drew Brees is set to return to action this Sunday when the New Orleans Saints take on the Arizona Cardinals.

The news was first reported by Ed Werder and Dianna Russini of ESPN. Brees was limited in practice all this week.

It’s an interesting move considering how backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has performed in the interim, going 5-0 after Brees suffered a thumb injury in the first quarter against the Los Angeles Rams.

Kickoff between the Saints and Cardinals is set for 12 pm.
