Quadir Copeland is leaving the ACC for the Southland.

Multiple media outlets reported on Wednesday that the 6-foot-6, 200-pound sophomore from Syracuse is transferring to play for Will Wade and the McNeese Cowboys.

Copeland appeared in 20 games off the bench during the 2022-23 season for the Orange, averaging 9.2 minutes per game. He appeared in 32 games this past season for Syracuse as he averaged 22.3 minutes, 9.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.

The swingman for the Orange played his best against some of the best teams in the country. Copeland dropped a career-high 25 points against NC State during the regular season and then scored 11 against the Wolfpack in the ACC Tournament.

In two games against Clemson, Copeland scored 11 and 17 points. NC State advanced to the NCAA Final Four while Clemson made it to the Elite 8.

Copeland played at three different high schools as he began his prep career at Gettysburg High School, before transferring to play at Life Center Academy in New Jersey and then wrapped up his prep career at IMG Academy in Florida.

Ole Miss guard Brandon Murray, Arizona State forward Bryant Selebangue, Saint Louis University guard Sincere Parker, and Louisiana forward Joe Charles.
