Former LSU Tiger and current Pittsburgh Pirates Paul Skenes will be one of three players to grace the cover of the upcoming video game “MLB the Show 25.” Skenes will be joined by Elly De La Cruz of the Cincinnati Reds and Gunnar Henderson of the Baltimore Orioles.
Skenes finished up a historic rookie season, in which he was the National League Rookie of the Year, a National League All-Star, and finished third in the Cy Young Award voting.
For the season, the right-hander had a 1.96 ERA with an impressive 170 strikeouts over 133 innings of work.
Prior to his time in the Big Leagues, Skenes was apart of the LSU 2023 National Championship team under coach Jay Johnson.
MLB the Show 25 will be released on March 18th.
