The Houston Astros have made changes to their organization official, the club announced on Thursday.

Victor Rodriguez has been named the hitting coach with Anthony Iapoce being the assistant hitting coach.

Connor Huff is now the assistant general manager.

Rodriguez comes over from San Diego, where he was the Padres’ hitting coach for the last two seasons. He helped guide that lineup to the highest batting average in the league combined for those seasons.

Iapoce comes from Detroit, where he was the first base coach for the prior two seasons. He has also spent time with the Rangers and Cubs and brings a variety of experiences having served in various roles throughout his coaching career.

Huff has been with the Astros since 2022 and now gets an elevated title and role. He was most recently the Vice President of Business and Baseball Operations.
