The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns and the Sun Belt Conference announced the 2026 schedule on Friday.
Included in the schedule for both the Cajuns and other SBC teams were the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. That happened despite Tech also being apart of Conference USA’s schedule release the previous day.
The Bulldogs and CUSA are still in legal proceedings regarding Tech’s early departure. The Sun Belt clearly expects Tech to join the league early, but the legal battle has continued on.
For the Cajuns, they will alternate home and road games all season long. Their home schedule includes games against Arkansas State, Troy, South Alabama, and Coastal Carolina during conference play. They have road trips to Louisiana Tech, Southern Miss, ULM, and Georgia State.
All of the games for Louisiana are on Saturday this season with the exception of the ULM contest which will happen on a Thursday.
There is still a chance that the entire schedule would be reworked if Louisiana Tech is forced to play in CUSA this season. For now, though, it appears that the conference is confident that Tech will be in the league.
