LSUE OPENS LCCAC TOURNAMENT VS. BATON ROUGE COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Fresh off a second straight conference title, LSU Eunice heads to the New Orleans metro area as the top seed in the LCCAC Tournament at Segnette Field. The Bengals (41-9) open play Thursday at 2:00 PM against Baton Rouge CC (5-47).
It’s a four-team, double-elimination bracket featuring LSUE, Delgado, Nunez, and Baton Rouge. The tournament will run Thursday through Saturday at 2 and 6 PM, with a Sunday championship if necessary.
The Region 23 All-Conference team will be announced on Thursday, May 7th, between games 1 & 2. The 10-player team is voted on by the LCCAC Head Coaches.
The tournament winner claims the NJCAA Region 23 title and hosts the Alabama-based Region 22 champ next week in a best-of-three series for the South District Championship and a trip to the JUCO World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado.
LSUE dominated league play at 18-4 and brings one of the nation’s most dangerous lineups—every starter hitting over .300. Aidan Mouton leads the charge (.461, 82 runs, 37 SB). At the same time, Mason Bordelon powers a record-setting 88-homer team with 16 bombs. Andrew Clapinski adds 71 hits, 18 doubles, and 79 RBI.
On the mound, Lane Fenske is a perfect 13-0 with a 3.21 ERA and 77 strikeouts—his win total tops the NJCAA. McCray Jacobs and Kade LaCoste anchor the bullpen.
Baton Rouge (5-47) is led by Kenneth Berard (.345), with Tanner Cranford or Evan McDaniel expected to start.
All games will be streamed on TSBN Sports, and tickets are $15 per day with unlimited entry.
