After All of That…..The Cajuns Can Still Go Bowling

After all of that, it comes down to the final game of the season for the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns to go bowling for the fifth time in the last six seasons. (Screw off NCAA, I don’t care your ‘official records’ may say otherwise.)

After coming out of the ‘Spring Game’ and deciding their young quarterbacks were too young.

After ‘recruiting’ the quarterback from the ‘school down the road’ to be a graduate transfer.

After starting the season 2-1 then suffering back to back devastating OT losses to Tulane and New Mexico State.

After their star running back never being the same after more than 40 touches vs Tulane.

After losing three straight and four of five, including, after a ‘staunch’ Idaho Vandals defense allowing 35 points per game, embarrasses them in Cajun Field, 24-13.

After saving their season on a short week with a win at Georgia Southern.

After enduring a locker room video that went viral.

After not quitting in a 35-21 loss on the road to an SEC opponent.

After having their school and conference finally deciding on a name and abbreviation (don’t ask, I’m still confused. Louisiana, UL, LA.  Make up your mind)

After surviving the most tense replay review of the season which culminated in a shocking home win against the hottest team in the Sun Belt.

After all of that, a victory against in state rival ULM, and Louisiana will be back in the post season.

While maybe not reaching the heights of what this season could’ve been with wins over the Green Wave, Aggies and Vandals, Cajuns goal of a bowl game is still within reach.  We’ll just have to wait until after Saturday’s game to find out.
