You use hand sanitizer right? Of course, they’re conveniently placed in bathrooms and other places everywhere. BUT – if you think just a little dab with a few seconds of rubbing your hands together is good enough… think again! That’s how I’ve been doing it for YEARS, but according to researchers… that’s not good enough! Whaaaaat?
You’re supposed to put a “palm full” of sanitizer in your hands, then rub them together until they’ve completely dried. If it takes less than 15 seconds to rub them dry, you didn’t use enough… leaving bacteria on your hands… (oopsies!!)
The World Health Organization says to rub the sanitizer in your hands for at least 20 to 30 seconds, however, this new study says you can get by with 15. But come on… give it the extra 5 seconds, you totally have time.
Next time you grab that convenient little bottle of hand sanitizer, think about all those nasties under your fingernails and on your hands… and do it the right way.
