The Houston Astros have announced today that they have sold three of their minor league affiliates, the Sugar Land Space Cowboys (Triple-A), Corpus Christi Hooks (Double-A) and Fayetteville Woodpeckers (Single-A) to Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH), an organization that owns and operates select Minor League Baseball clubs affiliated with Major League Baseball (MLB).
The move does not impact the leadership of those teams, and the existing GMs will still operate them. In addition, they will also remain affiliates of the Astros.
“Diamond Baseball Holdings is the perfect partner for the Astros. Not only do they have a successful track record of investing in communities and Minor League Baseball, they also are committed to a best-in-class local fan experience,” Jim Crane, the Astros owner said. “On behalf of our entire organization, I want to personally thank every employee and fan within each of the clubs for helping make the Astros a championship franchise. We remain committed to these communities as our affiliate partners, and we look forward to continuing to grow the game of baseball together.”
The Houston Astros games are broadcasted in Southwest Louisiana on ESPN 103.7 Lafayette and 104.1 Lake Charles. They will return to action in March of 2026.
