LSU Eunice Men’s Basketball seems poised to continue its stranglehold on the LCCAC as the Bengals cruised to an 85-49 victory at Baton Rouge CC on Wednesday.  The Bengals (11-3 overall, 1-0 LCCAC) have now won 24 straight conference games, dating back to the 2019-20 season.

LSU Eunice would use a 15-0 run in the middle of the first half to turn a close game into the makings of a rout.  The Bengals would hold a 38-20 lead at the break, as PJ Dubuol led the early offense with eight of his 16 points before intermission.

The second half would see Nasir DeGruy take over the game, scoring 18 points after the break.  DeGruy led all scorers with 22 points on the night.  LSUE would hover around the 30-point margin for most of the second half as the Bengal bench would see the majority of the action to close out the game.

LSUE would see 12 different players score as Dubuol and DeGruy would be the only double-digit scorers.  The Bengals would connect on 13 three-point baskets led by four from DeGruy.

The Bengals continue LCCAC play with their conference home opener this Saturday.  LSUE welcomes Delgado to the Cajun Prairie for a 4:00 PM tip-off.
