The New Orleans Pelicans are going to be well-represented in February for the NBA All-Star Game.
The NBA announced that both Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins were among the five starters from the Western Conference in this year’s All-Star Game. This is Davis’ fifth straight appearance and second straight year chosen as a starter with Cousins getting his first appearance as a starter.
It is also the first time in the franchise’s history that they will have two starters in the All-Star Game
The actual game will break away from the traditional East and West format with teams selected by the player with the most fan votes from each conference.
Davis is averaging 26.7 points and 10.5 rebounds in 38 games this season and Cousins averaging 25.3 points and 12.7 boards in 44 games.
