The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns football program will now have to replace another member of Michael Desormeaux’s coaching staff, this time at the defensive coordinator role.
247Sports’s Matt Zenitz first reported that Michigan is hiring Lamar Morgan to be the new defensive backs coach for Sherrone Moore’s staff. It was also reported by Bruce Feldman, Adam Rittenberg, and KATC’s JaMarcus Fitzpatrick.
Morgan was in his second stint with the program after coming back to his alma mater as cornerbacks coach under Billy Napier. After leaving Lafayette for Vanderbilt, he returned to be Desormeaux’s defensive coordinator for the last two seasons.
The Cajuns have already had to replace multiple assistants this offseason as the program will look to right the ship after back-to-back losing seasons.
