After a historic defeat on the road against a NFC South rival, the New Orleans Saints are now looking for a new head coach.

According to Ian Rappaport and Mike Garafolo with the NFL, Dennis Allen has been fired by the Saints.

Allen, in his third season as head coach in New Orleans, compiled an 18-25 record with the Black and Gold and 26-53 between his time in the Big Easy and Oakland with the Raiders.

The Saints became the first team in NFL history to have 400+ yards of offense, and 150+ rushing yards, win the turnover margin, and still lose a game. That record now stands at 275-1 all-time.

Darren Rizzi, the special teams coordinator, has been named the interim coach for the final eight games.
