The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns and McNeese Cowboys Men’s Basketball teams are both headed to the U.S. Virgin Islands for an early season tournament.
On Tuesday, the teams found out their opening-round matchups for the event.
The Cajuns will begin their tournament by facing the Liberty Flames on November 22nd at 4:30 PM. Their side of the bracket also features George Washington and Kansas State. If Louisiana were to lose their first game, they would play again on November 23rd at 4:30 PM. If they were to win their first game, they would play again on November 24th at 7 PM.
The Cowboys will face the Illinois State Redbirds on November 22nd at 2 PM. Their side of the bracket also features Longwood and UAB. If the Cowboys lose their first matchup, they will play again on November 23rd at 2 PM. If they win their first, they play again on November 24th at 4:30 PM.
The championship of the event will be played on November 25th at 7 PM. All teams in the event will play three games no matter what.
The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns are coming off of a 19-14 season. They are looking to build upon a roster that has a combination of returning players and new additions.
The McNeese Cowboys went 30-4 last season, winning the Southland Conference and making the NCAA Tournament. They once again added a variety of transfers to the roster ahead of the 2024-25 season.
