The Ragin Cajuns needed a strong start to begin a four-game road trip. They had the exact opposite with a bad second half to fall to the UALR Trojans (13-1, 3-0 Sun Belt) 77-57.
The Cajuns gained an early lead with some early threes, but the Trojans were able to get back in the game with a 9-2 run and headed into the locker room at halftime with 34-30 lead after a late three by Jay Wright.
However, the Cajuns were unable to capitalize off the momentum of the late three, becoming ice cold the rest of the way from three-point range and going 9-of-34 to remain winless on the road.
Shawn Long recorded his 60th career double-double with 16 points, 11 boards, one assist, and two blocks on the night. Wright was behind Long with 10 points, four boards, and three assists.
Roger Woods led the Trojans 16 points, six boards, one assist, and one steal.
The Cajuns (5-7, 1-2) will head about two hours north to Jonesboro to take on Arkansas State (7-7, 3-0 Sun Belt) with tipoff set for 7:05. The Red Wolves will be coming off of a hard fought 68-65 overtime win over the ULM Warhawks.
