The Ragin Cajuns were in another back and forth battle on Saturday night against Georgia Southern (18-13, 7-7), but fell short losing 3-2.
Brian Mills got the Cajuns on the board in the top of the first, scoring on a wild pitch. The Eagles responded in the bottom half of the inning with an RBi single by Ryan Cleveland to tie things up.
Brad Antchak got home safely in the top of the second after Nick Thurman was caught stealing to make it 2-1.
Then Cal Baker hit what would be the difference maker in the bottom of the fifth with a two-run single.
Wyatt Marks dropped to 3-3 on the year allowing three runs off of five hits, walking one, and striking out six in six innings of work.
The Cajuns (20-11, 9-5 SBC) will try to win the rubber match on Sunday with first pitch scheduled for 11 am.
