The Little Rock Trojans (8-11, 2-4 SBC) struck big in the fifth and kept the Cajuns at bay on Sunday afternoon to take the series win 7-1.
Riley Pittman started things off for the Trojans in the top of the fifth with an RBI single to put them up 1-0. The scoring continued later in the inning with Hayden Martin getting one on the board off a sac bunt and Ryan Scott got a pair on the board with a double.
The Cajuns tried to mount a comeback with Joe Robbins heading home off of a wild pitch, but that was the sole score in the game for them.
The Cajuns errors led to another run in the top of the seventh off of a Hunter Owens hit to go up 5-1. Pittman helped shut the door in the top of the eighth with another RBI single.
Nick Lee dropped to 3-1 on the year allowing four runs off of five hits, walking one, and striking out six in five and a third innings.
The Cajuns (12-8, 3-3 SBC) will head to Zephyr Field to take on LSU (14-5, 1-2 SEC) in the Wally Pontiff Jr. Classic on Tuesday with first pitch set for 7 pm.
