The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns fell to the Missouri Tigers 52-10 on Saturday afternoon in Columbia. The loss moves the Cajuns to 1-2 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The game began with a quick three-and-out for the Cajuns offense, and a long touchdown drive for Missouri. The Tigers cashed it in on an Ahmad Hardy touchdown run after 10 plays and 73 yards. That made it 7-0 Missouri.

It appeared that the Cajuns had a game-changing defensive touchdown on the next Missouri drive. The ball was knocked out and ran back 99 yards for a touchdown. However, video review showed that it was a Missouri touchdown before the fumble, making it 14-0.

The lead quickly grew from 14 to 28 as Beau Pribula ran for a through touchdowns on the next two Missouri possessions. The Cajuns offense was unable to move the football at all.

After an interception, Louisiana got a field goal to make it 28-3. Then, later in the half, Zylan Perry broke an 84-yard touchdown run to give the Cajuns their first touchdown of the afternoon. Other than that, it was all Missouri as they led 35-10 at halftime.

The second half was rather uneventful, as both teams ran the clock a lot. Missouri scored two more touchdowns, bringing the final score to 52-10.

BIG NUMBER: 4

The Cajuns passed for just four yards on the day, their lowest total since 2016 against ULM. The offense struggled mightily against the Tiger defense.

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Ahmad Hardy

The former ULM Warhawk had an unbelievable day with 250 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns. He averaged over 11 yards per carry in this one.

UP NEXT: The Cajuns remain on the road as they will head to face Eastern Michigan next Saturday.
