After a phenomenal performance on Saturday night against UL Monroe, senior linebacker Jacques Boudreaux.
The New Orleans native led all Louisiana defenders in the game against ULM with a career-high-matching 12 tackles, 0.5 sack and a huge pass break up late in the thrilling 31-30 victory.
Boudreaux has now won two weekly awards this season, the first coming on Sept. 30 following a big performance on the road against Georgia Southern, notching another 12 tackles. The senior is the first Ragin’ Cajun to earn two Player of the Week honors in the same season since Daniel Cadona in 2014.
Boudreaux currently leads the entire squad with 89 tackles on the year, four tackles shy of his total from a season ago. He has also tallied 2.0 TFL, four pass breakups, three quarterback hurries and a forced fumble during his stellar senior year.
The Cajuns will travel up to Boone, North Carolina on Saturday when they take on App State in the Sun Belt Championship game. Kickoff between the Cajuns and the Mountaineers will be at 11 am.
