In the 2022-2023 season, the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns made their first NCAA Tournament appearance in nearly a decade. Head Coach Bob Marlin is being rewarded for that resurgence.
The Ragin’ Cajuns announced a three-year extension for Marlin that will keep him under contract through the 2026-2027 season.
This past season was an impressive one for the Cajuns. Behind a veteran group, Marlin’s team went undefeated at home inside the Cajundome. The new-look Sun belt was much improved, and the Cajuns still finsished near the top of it. They earned the #2 seed in the Sun Belt Tournament, and then won their way back into the NCAA Tournament by taking the SBC title.
Bob Marlin has been the Head Coach at Louisiana since 2010. He is the second winningest coach in program history and is nearing 500 wins overall as a coach. He now has led the Cajuns to two NCAA Tournament appearances.
