The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns men’s and women’s basketball teams will head to Pensacola, Florida for the Sun Belt Basketball Championship next week. They now know which day their voyage will begin.

The women will play on Tuesday against the #11 seed Georgia State. It is a rematch of the regular season finale, which GSU won in Atlanta this evening. Louisiana enters play as the #14 seed. They will face the Panthers at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 3rd in the Pensacola Bay Center.

Should they win that game, Louisiana would move on to face #10 seed ULM on Wednesday at the same time. The Cajuns would stay in the 2:00 PM time slot each of the first four days if they were to continue advancing.

As for the Cajuns’ men’s team, they will also begin their voyage on Tuesday. They are the #12 seed and will face #13 seed Georgia State at 5:00 PM. Just like the women, they will stay in that timeslot for the better part of the week should they continue to win. A win over GSU would give them a matchup against #9 seed James Madison.

For both Louisiana teams, they are looking at an incredibly difficult path to the title. Due to the ladder bracket format and their seeding, the Cajuns would need to win seven games in seven days to cut down the nets and make the NCAA Tournament.
