The Ragin Cajuns were without Shawn Long for the first half, but were able to pull away in the second half to snap a three-game skid with a 79-69 win over the UNO Privateers (4-6).

The Privateers were able to capitalize on the Cajuns sloppy defense to take on early lead, but the Cajuns were able to right the ship late in the first half with a 10-4 run in the final four minutes to head into the locker room with a 34-33.

Unlike the second half on Saturday on Pepperdine, the Cajuns went on a 10-3 tear midway through the half and held on the rest of the way.

Johnathan Stove and Bryce Washington picked up the workload that Long normally has and led the Cajuns with 16 points a piece. Long did make the most of the 17 minutes he played in the Monday night matchup with 13 points, eight boards, one steal, and one block.

Christavious Gill led the Privateers with 17 points, three boards, three steals, and one block on the night.

The Cajuns (4-6, 0-1) Sun Belt will wrap up 2015 with an exhibition matchup against Spring Hill College (1-8) on December 30th with tipoff set for 7 pm.
