The preseason accolades continue to roll in for the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns with Levi Lewis being named to the Davey O’Brien Preseason Watch List.
Originally, the Davey O’Brien Memorial Trophy was presented annually to the most outstanding player in the Southwestern states of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. Four years later, the award was expanded nationally in scope and limited to quarterback
Lewis was on last year’s preseason watch list and was a member of the Davey O’Brien 2020 Quarterback Class after his big 2020 campaign that ended with the Scotlandville product throwing for over 2,200 yards and 19 touchdowns.
This is the second preseason watch list for the Cajuns quarterback who was also named to the Maxwell Award Watch List on Monday.
