The Ragin Cajuns pitching staff was on point on Sunday afternoon on the way to a 4-0 shutout against the Sacred Heart Pioneers (0-6).
The Cajuns got on the board first with Brad Antchak hit a single to right centerfield to score Ishmael Edwards in the bottom of the second.
Alex Pinero continued to extend the lead in the bottom of the third with an RBI double that sent Stefan Trosclair home.
After Edwards scored on a throwing error in the bottom of the eighth, Joe Robbins went up to bat. After going 0-3 and his 10-game hit streak in jeopardy, Robbins hit a single to right field to put the game away for the Cajuns.
Nick Lee improved to 2-0 on the year, throwing six shutout innings, allowed three hits, hit one batter, and struck out six. Dylan Moore got his second save of the season, striking out one batter in 1 1/3 innings of work.
The Cajuns (8-4) will head down to New Orleans to take on Tulane (7-4) on Wednesday with first pitch set for 6:30 pm.
