The Ragin Cajuns and the Arkansas State Red Wolves (13-13, 4-7 SBC) had another entertaining matchup on Saturday afternoon that ended with some help from unlikely sources late to give the Cajuns the win.
Stefan Trosclair started things off in the top of the first with an RBI single to take an early lead. But Arkansas State wasted no time in responding with Rucker hitting a sac fly in the bottom of the first to score White.
Kennon Fontenot got Nick Thurman across with an RBI single in the top of the second to get the lead again.
Schrimpf tied things up for the Red Wolves with a solo shot the left field in the bottom of the sixth to tie things up once again.
Fontenot gave the Cajuns the lead back in the top of the seventh with a solo shot of his own down the left field line. Brad Antchak put the game away with a two run shot down the left field line to split the weekend series.
Wyatt Marks improves to 3-2 on the year allowing two runs off of three hits, walking two, and striking out eight batters in seven innings of work. Dylan Moore gets his seventh save with two shutout innings, walked one, and struck out one.
The Cajuns (17-10, 7-4 SBC) will face off in the rubber match on Sunday with first pitch set for 1 pm.
