The Ragin Cajuns got back to their winning ways on Thursday night, taking down Georgia State (12-10, 2-2 SBC) by the score of 4-2.
Joe Robbins got the Cajuns on the board in the bottom of the first with a two-run shot to center field to get the early lead.
But Georgia State was able to cut away at the lead with Joey Roach hitting an RBI double to left field in the bottom of the sixth. This was followed up by a sac fly by Ryan Blanton later in the inning to tie things up.
The Cajuns were able to break up the tie with a free run after Ishmael Edwards was walked with the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth. Later in the inning, Nick Thurman hit a sac fly to centerfield and it allowed Brenn Conrad to reach home safely, and that was all the Cajuns needed to do to get back on the left side of the ledger.
Dylan Moore improved to 2-1 on the season allowing no hits, walking one and striking out one in two innings of relief.
The Cajuns (13-9, 4-3 SBC) will look to win the series on Friday night against Georgia State with first pitch set for 6 pm.
