While it’s the second week of the 2020 season, Saturday was the first real week of the season for several programs across the country and the first changes to the Amway Coaches and AP polls were unveiled.
While there were some expected changes with the Big Ten and Pac-12 opting out of the season, there was one significant jump with the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns being ranked for the first time in the modern era.
After the Cajuns secured their first win on the road against a ranked team in program history with a 31-14 victory over Iowa State, they are ranked 21st according to the Amway Coaches Poll and were ranked 19th in AP Top 25. This is the first time the Cajuns have been ranked since 1943 when they were ranked 15th and the first time in the modern era
Below are the Amway Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25. First place votes are in parentheses and teams from the state of Louisiana are in BOLD
