Louisiana junior shortstop Kyle DeBarge has been named a third-team All-American by Perfect Game.
The Lake Charles native is one of two Sun Belt players on the team and led the Cajuns last season with a .371 average, seven homers, and 38 RBIs. He earned all-conference and all-state honors last year while also being on two all-tournament teams.
The Barbe High product hit .476 in the Sun Belt tournament and hit .267 this past summer in the Cape Cod League.
Louisiana will open their 2024 season at M.L. Tigue Moore Field at Russo Park when they welcome Wright State for a three-game series beginning on February 16.
