The New Orleans Saints have found their guy at quarterback.
Former Las Vegas Raider Derek Carr has agreed to a four-year deal with the New Orleans Saints days before the start of the new league year on March 15, according to multiple reports.
Carr played eight seasons in Oakland/Las vegas, throwing for 35,222 yards, 217 touchdowns and only 99 interceptions. He’s also a four-time Pro Bowl selection.
New Orleans has struggled from a quarterback perspective ever since Drew brees retired in 2020. Since then, Taysom Hill, Jameis Winston, Andy Dalton, Ian Book, and Trevor Sieman have all suited up under center in the Black & Gold.
Carr will now reunite with Dennis Allen, the coach who drafted him out of Fresno State in 2014. Allen and Carr only worked together for four games before Allen was fired midseason.
The deal is rumored to be for four years, although official details of salary have yet to be released.
