One of the greatest QBs in the history of the NFL is about to venture into his first season without being on the gridiron. Drew Brees, who announced his retirement in March, recently agreed to a partnership with PointsBet.
The multi-year deal includes an equity stake for Brees as he becomes a global ambassador for the sports betting company.
“I am excited to team up with PointsBet, a leader in the future of sports entertainment built off elite technology,” Brees said in a release. “I am proud to be at the forefront alongside PointsBet and NBC Sports.”
PointsBet started in Australia and currently operates in five states: Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, and New Jersey. NBC, Brees’s new employer, struck a five-year partnership with the company last year that includes a 4.9% stake in PointsBet.
