ESPN 103.7 Lafayette and 104.1 Lake Charles and Delta Media Corporation brought home mutliple awards in the radio broadcasting portion of the 2023 Louisiana Sports Writers Association annual awards contest held in Natchitoches on Sunday.
Matt Miguez and producer James Meche took home second place honors in the Best Radio Show Host (Solo & Team) category for Crunchtime, while Raymond Partsch III and former producer Hannah Adams received third-place honors in that same category for RP3 & Company.
Matt Moscona and producers Matt Musso and Paul O’Neil meanwhile earned honorable mention honors for After Further Review.
Jordy Hultberg Show host Jordy Hultberg earned second-place honors in the Best Interview category his discussion with LSU baseball coach Jay Johnson, Partsch took home third place for his interview with LSU legend Skip Bertman and Moscona nabbed honorable mention honors for his talk with Super Bowl-winning quarterback Eli Manning.
Moscona and T-Bob Hebert also took home second place in the Best Podcast category for “Scone and T.”
Delta Media also had two different live broadcast teams receive accolades in the Best Live Radio Event category.
Ben Love and Blaine Viator earned second-place honors for their live calls of Carencro High School football on Z105.9. Craig Wall and Ward Courville meanwhile received third place honors for their work broadcasting the Vermilion Parish Game of the Week on 106.3 Radio Lafayette.
