If you told LSU fans that Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr would be playing together in Cleveland when both players were drafted back in 2014, they probably would’ve laughed in your face.
The NFL in 2019 is a weird place and less than 24 hours before the new league year officially begins, the Browns have two of the best wide receivers in the league in Landry and OBJ after a shocker of a trade that saw the Browns give the New York Giants their first-round pick, the second of their third-round picks, and safety Jabrill Peppers in exchange for the New Orleans native. What makes the entire story even more interesting is that the Browns hired Landry and Beckham’s wide receivers coach at LSU in Adam Henry.

It seems like in just two years that the Browns have started to turn things around and are relevant for the first time in what feels like forever. You have a young QB that helped change the Browns entire season outlook in Baker Mayfield, a new offensive-minded head coach in Freddie Kitchens, and several other young players that can help build the foundation of a franchise that isn’t the butt of all the jokes.
The trade won’t become official until tomorrow at 3 pm, but this may be an absolute steal for Cleveland while the Giants may wind up regretting this trade if they can’t build something around their aging quarterback in Eli Manning and their upstart running back in Saquon Barkley.
