Four-time PGA TOUR winner Tony Finau and 2019 U.S. Open champion Gary Woodland have officially joined the field for the 2022 Cadence Bank Houston Open set for Nov. 10-13 at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston.
Woodland, who will be playing in his sixth Houston Open, was the winner of the 2019 U.S. Open major championship at Pebble Beach Golf Links, which was his fourth PGA TOUR win. His other wins include the 2018 Waste Management Phoenix Open, the 2013 Reno-Tahoe Open and the 2011 Transitions Championship.
Finau, who will be appearing in his seventh Houston Open, has recorded marquee tournamanet wins such as a FedEx Cup playoff win at The 2021 The Northern Trust. He has also won the 3M Open and the Rocket Mortgage Classic, which occurred just one week apart in July.
Finau also has 10 career second place finishes and has finished in the top-10 in 54 career events. Finau was also Woodland’s teammate on the 2019 Presidents Cup team and has been a member of two President Cup teams and two Ryder Cup teams.
Finau and Woodland join a field at the Cadence Bank Houston Open that features the No. 1 player in the world and 2022 Masters Champion Scottie Scheffler, 2015 The Open Champion and 2007 Masters Champion Zach Johnson, and 2013 U.S. Open Champion Justin Rose.
Also committed to play is Hideki Matsuyama, former LSU star Sam Burns, Jason Day and Sahith Theegala.
